A Shower Thought: Judging a Book by Its Cover

Hello Everyone! Happy Wednesday! I had a shower thought the other day. Why do we ignore the term "judging a book by its cover"? Now, I am a very observant person. I feel like I read people very well off of very little conversations, or "get to know you periods." But the weirdest thing to me is that instant idea about a person that I get when I walk past them. What are they thinking about? Where are they walking to? Where are they coming from? So many questions flood my mind just off of seeing a moving body on the side of the road.
All of these questions have lead me to think about the saying "don't judge a book by its cover." But though we hear that constantly, we still do it. But why? Now some people just take the easy way out of that question by replying with "that's just how the human brain works," but as you know if you read weekly, I don't like brushing off questions easily. Everyone has assumptions, ideas, dreams, and fantasies, and it's all connected. We all want to know everything because then life would be easy. But as I think about that, wouldn't it make life nothing? Those goals or dreams or assumptions or fantasies would be gone because you wouldn't need them. Destroying the thought process of the mind destroys humanity.
I love being deep in thought. Hell, I even crave it. I find the mind so beautiful when it's used for what it's made. Whether it's remembering those science terms for biology class, or memorizing a phone number. Our minds hold so much power and think so much. I think this is my reasoning behind why I love to write so much. Because I love expressing my deep thoughts on paper and expressing them to you. I've been able to create this place where everything I love can be shared with people who love it too. Which is so amazing. So thank you for that. In conclusion, don't ever second look the brain and all its power. Everything you know and love is there. Don't think twice. Love y'all see you next time <3
